Directed by Simon Clifton, Eldorado’s Autumn show is ‘Maskerade’ – a fantasy comedy and affectionate parody of Opera, Lloyd-Webber and Musical Theatre.
In an attempt to escape her fate as a country witch, Agnes Nitt travels to join the chorus of the Grand Opera house of Ankh-Morpork. But bodies are falling out of the rafters, instruments are being destroyed, the place is losing money hand over fist, the new skinny, wide eyed Prima Donna can’t sing for toffee... and the theatre Ghost’s messages are becoming more deranged. But help is at hand in the unlikely form of the formidable Granny Weatherwax and the incorrigible Nanny Ogg who’ve decided to stick their noses into Agnes’s business for her own good... after all, the show must go on!
