 An Inspector Calls

a Play by J.B.Priestley

 DIRECTED BY MIKE WEAVER

An Amateur production by arrangement with Samuel French Limited

Performance dates are 19th - 22nd November 2008

The play is set in 1912, just before the outbreak of the First World War. First produced in London at the New Theatre on 1 October 1946 , An Inspector Calls provides an evening of mystery and drama embedded within strong themes of power, morality, and social responsibility.

The play tells the story of a family evening, interrupted by an unexpected, uninvited guest. It is a play to inform, entertain and challenge audiences to examine their own consciousness as they witness the disintegration of a seemingly happy family as their secrets are revealed.
